Our Heritage
TCFinewoodwork is a family-run joinery and furniture company on the Isle of Purbeck in Swanage, with community links throughout the area.
Our master carpentry and cabinet-making team bring a wealth of experience gained over twenty years of woodworking across the globe, from New Zealand to Japan to London to Dorset.
At TCFinewoodwork, as well as priding ourselves on our high-quality, affordable bespoke joinery service, our team are always experimenting with different woodworking techniques and exploring the benefits and limitations of timbers. This approach blends seamlessly with the finer side to woodworking, such as furniture making and allows us to devise modern, original designs alongside traditional designs.
Our mission
Here at TC Finewoodwork, our mission statement is to provide extremely high-quality woodworking services for our local community.
Using sustainable timbers sourced from around the world, we apply both modern and traditional woodworking techniques to create something contemporary and beautiful yet completely functional.
A piece of furniture you can treasure for a lifetime.
How we work

Our Master Carpenter, Toby Cufflin, will provide initial consultation, to discuss all your bespoke furniture ideas and designs. At this stage, Toby will advise on the art of the possible, based on his experience and knowledge. This will help to develop and shape your ideas.
Planning
If technical drawings and advice on materials are required, these are provided at this stage. Designs can be created in-house or with a recommended partner and are refined until a final design is agreed upon.
Manufacture
The creation of the work takes place in a professional and accessible workplace which you are welcome to visit.
Finishes
All our furniture and projects can be supplied with a variety of finishes, ranging from lacquer to specialist paints, brush or spray finish.
Fitting
We take pride in maintaining a presence during installation where possible, to ensure our projects are installed correctly and with address any on-site issues.
